 Network 18 gives 'Forbes' a grand welcome in India
 
In a first of its kind campaign, Network 18 provided a mega-launch to international business magazine 'Forbes'. The licensed title was launched in India in May with a wide campaign covering television, print, outdoors and radio. Steve Forbes, Chairman, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Forbes, was in India to launch the magazine at a ceremony in Mumbai on May 21, 2009. Naazneen Karmali is the Indian edition's editor.
 WSJ launches facsimile editions in Delhi and Mumbai
 
Wall Street Journal has become the first international newspaper to get launched in India, in Delhi and Mumbai, through the facsimile editions route, ever since the Indian federal government allowed 100% foreign ownership of facsimile editions. For its printing requirements, the newspaper has tied up with the Indian Express group of newspapers. Financial Times is expected to follow suit.

 HT Media launches Kolkata edition of 'Mint'
 
Delhi-based HT Media Ltd, publishers of 'Hindustan Times', have launched yet another edition of its English language business daily 'Mint'. The new edition was launched in Kolkata, while the Chennai edition will be launched soon.

 Indian 'T3' gets a makeover to get noticed
 
International gadgets magazine 'T3' has been given a makeover - a new design, with a hope that it will get better noticed by audiences in India this time around. The new design of Indian 'T3', part of the Infomedia 18 publishing company, was attributed to a change in the design of the international version of the magazine by Future Publishing.

 IRS R1 2009 results - publications retain positions
 
In the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) R1 2009 results, almost all Indian newspapers and magazines have retained their positions in their respective segments. In magazines, India Today is number 1 in English, Saras Salil in Hindi and Vanitha number 1 amongst all languages. In newspapers, Times of India and Dainik Jagran retained their leading positions in English and Hindi languages.

 World Magazine Congress in India in 2011
 
India will play hosts to the World Magazine Congress in 2011. The Congress will be co-hosted by the Association of Indian Magazines. This announcement followed the installation of Living Media head Aroon Purie as the chairman of the world magazine trade body FIPP.

 Images group launches 'Livingetc India'
 
New Delhi-based Images group has launched IPC Media's licensed magazine 'Livingetc India' in India. The magazine hit the stands in the first week of May and has been priced at Rs 100.

 Marathi daily newspaper on launch spree
 
While recessionary trends have slowed down the pace of launch of newer editions of Hindi and English newspapers, publishers of Marathi language morninger 'Pudhari' seem to ecstatic. They launched their newspaper's Mumbai edition in May and have announced plans to launch newer editions in Nasik, Nagpur and Aurangabad shortly.
