The Indian Readership Survey (IRS) 2008 R2 data has shown that Hindustan Times’ average issue readership (AIR) numbers has grown, while Times of India’s AIR has shown a decline. HT has overtaken TOI to regain its leadership position in Delhi and NCR region, while TOI continue to be the leader in Mumbai. MORE

Most regional language publications have shown a decline in readership in IRS 2008 R2. Some regional dailies have, however, shown a growth in readership. They are - Gujarati dailies, Gujarat Samachar and Sandesh; Tamil daily, Dinakaran; and the two Telugu dailies, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi. MORE
